    QUALITY ENGINEER

    Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire £36 – £38k

    We are hiring for a key provider of precision components and engineering solutions to the aerospace and defence, oil and gas, nuclear and commercial bronze sectors. 
    We are looking for experienced Quality Engineer who can join our expanding team working closely with Operations/Shop Floor, Customers and Suppliers.

    The Quality Engineer will work directly alongside the QHSE Manager and will be responsible for developing and leading quality related improvement programmes.

    You will be actively involved in the NPI process ensuring all Quality requirements are understood and implemented including generation of downstream QA documentation and take an active role in 3rd party supplier audits.

    THE QUALITY ENGINEER WILL BE:

    Minimum HNC Mechanical/Manufacturing or Production Engineering qualified

    External Auditor trained.

    LEAN Six Sigma Green Belt
    THE QUALITY ENGINEER WILL HAVE EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE IN:

    Applying quality tools and techniques such as RCA, PDCA, R&R, SPC, 8D

    Complete quality elements of NPI process

    Ability to competently read and understand manufacturing drawing requirements including geometric tolerances.

    Create quality assurance documentation (FAIR, ITP, Quality Plans)

    Preferably have CMM programming skills (Software – Aberlink)

    Working knowledge of PPAP
    This role would suit an individual with previous experience in quality assurance with great motivational, organisational, and planning skills. Preferably within a machine shop environment and in the aerospace and / or nuclear sector.

    You will have a good eye for detail and methodical approach. HOURS 38 hours per week DAYS Monday to Thursday 07:30-16:00 hours and Friday 07:00-13:00 hours
