Senior Embedded Software Engineer
BRIEF OVERVIEW
– Role: Senior Embedded Software Engineer
– Location: Leamington Spa
– Role type: Permanent
– Salary/Rate: £Negotiable DOE
– Working type: On-site – 4.5 days per week
We are looking for a Senior Embedded Engineer to develop projects within future technology, covering various project areas depending on the current requirements, with a focus on areas such as driveline/powertrain technology.
You will be working with a business which is growing every year due to the great work which is done internally. The projects range from very small to very large and apply to various fields such as land, air and water-based vehicles, as well as other industries where the technology can be applied.
You’ll be focusing on the low-level embedded software development activities and be a key player in the software teams. You’ll also be involved with the testing and validation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
– Write base software and low-level driver code
– Work on real time embedded systems
– Assist with developing application level software
– Configuration and analysis of communication protocols
– Take part in calibration activities
– Validation, testing and debugging
– Deliver projects in accordance to functional safety
– Customer and team interactions, managing deliverables and communicating with stakeholders
– Develop internal/external relationships and manage expectations
REQUIREMENTS
– Low-level Embedded C/C++ experience
– Model-based software development (such as MATLAB/Simulink/StateFlow/Embedded Coder or similar)
– Motor control/propulsion system knowledge
– Software testing experience
– Comfortable speaking with customers/stakeholders
DESIRABLE SKILLS (NOT ESSENTIAL)
– Degree in a relevant engineering discipline
– EV/HV system development
– Experience with automotive, motorsport, aerospace, marine, or similar industry
